DR. GUNIA JOINS COMPREHENSIVE BREAST CENTER OF ARIZONASCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. (Nov. 20, 2013) – Comprehensive Breast Center of Arizona welcomes Sommer Gunia, D.O. to its Scottsdale practice. Dr. Gunia is a fellowship-trained breast surgeon who specializes in oncoplastic surgical techniques designed to produce optimal cosmetic results.

She dedicates her practice solely to the evaluation and treatment of breast disease and works closely with each patient’s service providers and individuals involved in care.

When it comes to my patient’s treatment decisions, I want them to know they are in the driver’s seat,” said Dr. Gunia. “I am there to present them with the most up-to-date information. One of my most important goals is to help them with the choices they face.”

Dr. Gunia is now accepting new patients and contracts with a large number of insurance plans to facilitate her patients’ care.

After obtaining her undergraduate degree at Arizona State University in Tempe, Dr. Gunia earned her medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She completed her general surgery training through Ohio University and went on to complete a Breast Surgical Oncology fellowship at Akron General Medical Center.
